This is an amazing little drone. With a weight of only 249 grams, it falls below the FAA requirements for registration. It has an extremely stable flight and with the 3 axis gimbal for the camera it provides an amazingly stable picture. Flight times for me average around 20-25 minutes … but I always keep a certain amount of spare battery capacity during flights for safety reasons. With the built-in GPS and smart return to home features, this is a wonderful drone for those getting started, vacationers, or pros who could use a spare. The basic drone comes with a single battery and not much in the way of accessories. I definitely recommend the “fly more combo” because it contains 3 batteries, a carrying case, and a multi-battery charger. This little drone is an absolute must buy for those on a budget that are looking for a cinematic drone. The camera is not 4K, but is 2.7K HD which more than exceeds most folks needs.

The drone in itself is built very good. It does not have obstacle avoidance from the front. Only from the bottom. I don’t believe it has a follow me feature like the Spark it replaces. I think if I would go back I would have gotten the Spark instead. The battery does last approx 30 mins which is good. The remote feels good quality also. Overall it’s a nice drone.

If the description hadn’t read refurbished, I would have sworn that this was brand new. The only issue I have is how long it took to charge the battery inside the drone. It was plugged in over night and still wasn’t fully charged. Maybe it’s because it’s not in a battery dock, like the fly more combo has. I sent it up once so far. Im moving. Have to find the time to fly it. Everything was included, and so very well packed. It flew just fine. I will update after recording video, and taking still shot’s. It also comes with the carrying case, contrary to the description, that’s a very good thing.

I purchased this drone because it is under 250 grams, and therefore not subject to FAA registration, and other regulations coming soon. I have an AS as a UAV Operator, my Part 107, and other related certs, so I have flown big drones. Having said that, this little bugger is easy amazing. It is easy to carry around. I actually purchased the fly more combo, but had a rogue wave swallow my first Mini 2. I liked it so much I purchased the RTF combo, as I already had the carry case and charger. It has exceptional flight characteristics, well above its pay grade for its size. It is stable and has many features the big boys have. Flight time and speed are impressive as well.

It flew ok but it didn’t seem to want to hover, but wanted to fly backwards. It’s very light made and tiny. A little wind caught it and it got stuck in a tree not 10 minutes after first use. one of the propellers caught on a LEAF and it’s been hanging in the tree for the last 2 weeks I guess on a LEAF.. That’s how small and tiny it is. It has rained, wind blows and it’s won’t come down. Still hung high in a tree on a with a leaf stuck in the propeller after all this time. How light and tiny do you think it has to be to be hung on a LEAF for this long? I guess it’ll come down when Fall comes and the leaves fall off the trees. I had no idea that it was this tiny and light. It can’t weigh much more than a couple of ounces for it to still be hung in a tree like this

I’ve had drones before, but this is a whole new level. Pros: great 30 min flight time, amazing 5+ mile range, cool 4k video stream. Cons: drone won’t even start in restricted airspace. Like 3 miles from a stadium when a sporting event is going on etc. I’d like a warning, instead I can’t even power up the drone. Hope you don’t live 3 miles near an airport or in its flight paths.

The DJI Mavic Mini at THIS price is a great deal! I wouldn’t pay full price for this particular drone, but for less than $300, this is a top quality drone that performs beautifully. I am quite satisfied with it. Of course, you could probably find a better looking drone at the $200 to $300 mark. But there are a few things to consider. The Mavic Mini shoots in 2.7 K with an excellent camera. Even if a drone says it shoots in 4K it may not be as good as this. If it is an unfamiliar brand, it is probably worse. And if it says 4K it might only shoot PHOTOS in 4K and actually shoot far smaller in video. The Mavic Mini is also only 249 g in weight, meaning it doesn’t have to be registered if flown recreationally. Other drones in this price range weigh a lot more. They will need to be registered. The DJI Mavic Mini also has a true three axis gimbal for the camera which is itself vibration-isolated in the body by rubber shock absorbers. This makes the captured video crystal clear. Other drone’s in this price range lack 3 axis gimbals or have poor isolation between the body and the camera resulting in wavy video known as jello. And the DJI controller paradigm is vastly superior to most cheaper drones because the cheaper drones use wifi signals which are limited in range to a few hundred yards and do not penetrate structures well. The Mavic Mini has excellent range and penetration making it less likely you will be in a situation where you cannot control the drone. It is a fact that it is HARD to crash a DJI drone. You have to make a series of mistakes in a precise and deliberate order to get past the safety features. The drone also makes breaking the law harder since it won’t even take off in certain airspace or weather conditions. This might annoy some people. But it beats loosing a couple hundred dollars with a crash or a few thousand with an FAA fine! This drone falls squarely between the cheaper toy-grade and the much more expensive professional grade of drones. I would classify it as hobby grade, edging a bit into the professional grade in terms of camera quality. I attached a few photos taken by the drone and one of the drone itself in the included case.

The owners manual text size requires a microscope to read. I bought this because I needed one picture taken and it was cheaper than hiring someone. It did take the picture at a reasonable quality. It absolutely does not tolerate the wind. It blew away never to be seen again. It would probably be a fun toy on a calm day. The range is rather short too.

I am a newbie to drones, even though I own other drones I have never actually flown them extensively because they are so hard to fly. After researching this particular mini 2 drone, I decided to take a chance and try to see if I can finally enjoy some thing that’s even the Novice can enjoy without worrying about it’s flying experience. what I enjoy most about it is that after you takeoff it sits there waiting for you at a very level nice height to maneuver it however you want to without you trying to keep it from going all over the place. It may be that my other Drones aren’t as sophisticated and that’s why I find this one so great, I guess I learned that you get what you pay for and yes I spend more money this time, so don’t waste your time On trying to find a cheap drone expecting to get what I get what you can get with this one. I highly recommend it

I’m just getting into drones, this thing seems somewhat hard to control, it’s extremely light and very susceptible to wind. With all that said the thing cost 40 bucks and it has 4k camera action, I’m getting better at controlling it everyday, it’s a wonderful introductory product to the field of droning for sure I would have to personally say without knowing anything else. I’m not an expert reviewer, and this is the first drone I’ve ever personally owned. And also the first drone I’ve ever personally controlled. It’s tougher than it might look, but it’s not undoable, it might take some practice. With that said, I have had hours of fun with this little POS, and plan on putting in more time on this one before I invest in something more expensive.

I had a Mavic Pro and this Mini 2 has enough features on it for me. Video is crisp and clear, never lost connection with drone, flys well in wind, small and very portable. Batteries last as long as the Mavic Pro! I love it.

As good as new for nearly half off. Unit appeared unused, unmarked and battery has performed as well as the new one purchased at the same time. If you know DJI you are getting the quality you are expecting. Highly recommend getting a magimask hood then you have an FPV drone or just a really great way to frame your shots for the price of the new Mini 2.

This was a super deal on an extremely competent drone. What a great value. So many features that make it not only a great drone f o r someone starting out but a very useful piece of equipment when you don’t want to take a larger, heavier drone with you. There’s and old saying amongst photographers that the best camera is…. The one you have with you!…. And since the Drone is also a camera I’ll borrow that slogan for it. It is more than enough drone for me 90% of the time. One of the particularly nice things about the mini drone is that the batteries are very reasonably priced so if you need extended air time it doesn’t break the bank to carry several extra batteries. In fact any of the accessories for the mini drone appear to be very reasonably priced. Thank you for the prompt shipping also!

I purchased this Drone (Quad Copter) along with another by the same manufacturer at the same time, $40 & $100 respectively. This little one is a handful to fly, while the other that is larger, that has more technology integrated into it, is easy to fly, and I’m a 40 year veteran of flying Radio Control model airplanes. I don’t fly RC helicopters, they’re also a handful and take a lot time to learn to fly.I First, you must understand a few things: 1* The price of the Drone is directly related to the size of a Drone. These Drones, actually they are Quad-Copters and multi-copters, are approximately 4” x 4” (four inches by four inches) (100mm is about 3 15/16 inches, simple calculation) outside of propellers to outside of propellers. The body is is approximately 1 3/4” x 2 1/2”, and is powered by standard DC motors, not Brushless motors. This means that the DC motors are not as controllable as Brushless motors, and react to slight power differential much more radically than Brushless motors. Thus, harder to fly. 2* The smaller the Drone the less technology is integrated into the Drone. It takes space and weight and programming and sensors to add technology. 3* Larger, and larger price tag, Drones can utilize, and often do utilize, GPS positioning (Global Position System from satellites in space). They can also incorporate a bottom camera that senses its altitude holding ability by comparing expansion and contraction. These, GPS and size comparison cameras, allow them to maintain position in the air vertically and positional much more accurately, even seemingly locked in position. This Drone does NOT have these two features! 4* If you are buying a drone for video/picture purposes, it is my advice to purchase a name brand and look for the lower price of the identical item, as the same specific brand and model item may have a wide range of price between sellers, even being more than double the price in difference by those that seek higher profit per unit sold. Use the brand and technical designation to make sure you are comparing Fuji apples to Fiji apples, and not Fuji apples to Granny Smiths. So, this means that you will probably spend, for a quality video/picture taking Drone, with more bells and whistles than you will probably utilize, with GPS and Altitude controls, Point of Interest circling, Way Point setting and Follow Me features and more, a minimum of approximately $125, and, you should get a minimum of two (2) batteries with that purchase and a fitted protective case included. You cannot expect a $29-$59 Quad-copter (Drone) to do the functions of a $125-$300+ Drone. Lower price Drones means you are getting less for the money, and that is not any fault of the seller nor the manufacturer. Don’t be absurd, you get what you pay for, commonly. This company, 4DRC, has some lower cost quality Drones, size of 12” – 15” outside of propellers to outside of propellers, that do a fine job for a lower price, $70-$130. Christmas sales are on. I’m not going to suggest any specific Brand for you to purchase, not this one or any other. That choice is yours. But there are several brands that are well known to be quality. Be a responsible buyer and don’t blame the seller for your purchasing choice inadequacies. Please be conscious of price gougers, shop for reasonable price for the quality you are seeking. Do Searches and follow Similar items offered. Most of all, READ the data provided in addition to the flowery description. Just because the same designation brand and model is higher cost does NOT mean you are getting more or better for that higher price of an identical item. If you see this specific model for $29 & for $59, the $29 one is exactly the same as the $59 one, with exception to number of batteries included, or other additional items included for that price. Compare data to data, not conjecture nor supposition. I hope this helps someone, anyone, make a better choice.
